Travellers-Wisdom

Travellers roam to
experience new realms.
To take extravagant
treasures, or to enjoy them.

The traveller is watched by
one eye, but seen by all.
Travellers-Wisdom guides
him, he who reads the Words.

A traveller must always
keep good acquaintance
with The Traveller, for
He will wander along.

A traveller is never alone
when he has Wisdom.
He will always be accompanied
by allies of the All-Wise One.

Good tidings and good fortune
come to a few gracious travellers.
If they study the Wisdom, and should
stay true to it’s sacred words.

Appreciate the enlightening
Words of Har, and such a traveller
will enjoy every adventure he
sees himself end up along.

Wisdom is imparted on
travellers who are Wise.

Ode to The Great Basin

Picture that I took, outside of Reno, Nevada.

In the Mountain-land,
mystical and cleaved
canyons mutilate
the Basin of the Gods.

Savage steeds storm
sandy, solemn wastes.
Wreaking havoc, but
running honorably.

Great Rivers where
the Elves enjoy peace,
and frolick with glee
and rhythmic joy.

Divine bliss and
sacred beings do
wander around
the Great Basin.

One only must
find them, many
in one’s plain view.
One must look.

Thunderer’s Call

Marten Eskil Winge – Thor’s Battle with the Giants
Thunderer, protect ye
Children of Heimdallr
from the jotunn,
and all their wickedness.

They will fail
in their fight,
against so
mighty a God.

Mjolnir can
level any
building, or
foe we fear.

Wielded by
our mighty
warrior, and
Giant-Slayer.

It's famous,
and feared,
forged in
not full flames.

Serpent-Slayer,
Giant-Killer,
Thunderer,
Odinsson,

Thunderer,
be with us,
Thunderer,
be with me.

Family-Tree

Yggdrasil, the World-Tree.
Take care
of the tree
that's roots
uphold you.
The tree
has grown
to allow you
to be alive.
Cherish that
sacred tree,
and it will
pay you back.

It's leaves,
in the soul.
It's branches,
in the blood.

Take care
of the tree,
and a terrific
life awaits.

Flames

The Valknut, symbol of Odin.

Majestic spirits
dancing in the
firelight, watched
by distant eyes.

Rageful surge
of divine energy
stokes the fire,
soothing the soul.

Burning bright
is the fire
encased in the
binds of flesh.

Should it burn
out of control
or will men
contain their fire?

To a Confused Soul,

“The gnawing in
the depths of your soul.
You feel it
deep in your bones.

It comforts you,
but yet you are
in fear and awe
at the beauty of it all.

The well grows
deeper with each
drink of it’s
divine waters.

You hear the summon,
but you do not speak
the language,
foreign to modern, mortal ears.

Confusion from the
nature of the Conversation,
the beautiful tune
lost on deaf ears.

Do not be alarmed,
by the radiance
of the rising sun,
it is written for you.

The path will clear,
as it’s walked
wisdom burning away
corrupted brush.

False paths and gods,
will lead you astray,
but the truth,
never changes.”

Hail the Folkway

“Hail ye holy gods,
whom my ancestors knew so well.
Hail ye spirits of the land,
whom my ancestors gave gift,
and were given to.
Hail my ancestors,
whose ancient deeds echo deep in my bones.
Hail the Allfather,
who sees all we have done
Hail the Thunderer,
who protects us and our kin
And health to those who believe in them,
for we are the bearers of truth.”
